In My Home: The Love Corner
Loving my little LOVE CORNER in my bedroom. If there’s anything I will always remember in Feng Shui, it’s about making sure your love and prosperity corners of your home are well-cared for. Well, that and to always keep the toilet seat lid closed. Since my love corner in the room has been looking pretty bare, I made sure to give it some extra attention and freshen up for Spring to celebrate our relationship. The Aries New Moon was in our 7th house of relationships, so it just made so much sense to take some action and make it happen!
The love corner is the far right corner from where you walk in the room, and it’s actually the corner closest to my side of the bed. We usually had floor plants there, and then eventually it turned into a clutter corner for my late night paperwork adventures on the floor. But none of that was really putting in that love and attention to my relationship, so a shift had to happen. Here's what we did and why:
Hung a big leaf pothos plant so our love can grow even bigger. I picked this up from a local plant shop, California Plantin.
Added a disco ball and colorful light because we love to party (and we miss it!)
Moved my moon phase hanging because we actually have the same zodiac wheel configuration, so we experience some common themes throughout the moon cycles (we are both Sagittarius and Libra Rising)
Framed a photo of the rock formation where we got engaged because they look like 2 elephants snuggling together. So cute! (Read my engagement story here)
Got a map of our engagement location printed by Mapiful so we can revisit that place every day (from bed lol). If you look closely, where we got engaged in Lake Tahoe actually looks like a heart!
Making this map was so easy. Since we took a boat to this location, I didn't really know where the engagement happened so I used Google Maps to pinpoint the exact spot and then plugged in the coordinates on the Mapiful website. If you know the addy, even easier! You can adjust the map, colors, and themes, so when I saw the heart-shape of the lake, I made sure to keep that in the frame.
