Making Smoothies...While Camping

One thing I love about camping is being unplugged from it all, but then again, I love innovations that make camping a more luxurious experience. Glamping is my thing!

On my last camping trip, I made sure to bring my new portable blender from Teami (use code TIFFANY108 for $15 off…you’re welcome!) It charges via USB so I made sure to charge it up and pack it in the car. I knew making smoothies would feel so good in the morning after splurging on camping food from the day before.

I also brought along ice, strawberries, bananas, honey from my local beekeeper, and just enough almond milk for a few batches- no need to bring a huge container. I filled up a water bottle and added it to the cooler. But what I was really excited to do was elevate my smoothie with the addition of raw bee pollen.

I got my Raw Bee Pollen from Beekeeper’s Naturals, a company all about the bees! Raw bee pollen is like a multivitamin from nature as it can provide nutrients and a boost of energy. It’s packed with clean protein, B vitamins, and amino acids. And they are so pretty in the gorgeous yellow hue.

To make the smoothie, I just added all ingredients except bee pollen to the blender and pressed the button- no electricity needed! I’ll have to admit, I did feel a little extra making this while camping, but I’m totally fine with being extra!

The smoothie ended up really smooth, and after pouring it into a cup, I sprinkled on some raw bee pollen. This made it prettier, and let’s not forget more healthy. The bee pollen also provided a little sweetness and crunch to my smoothie. I highly recommend!

Now I’m plotting on what to blend up on my stand-up paddle board next!
